Ballet & Tap Dance Classes

The only one of these schools I have personal experience of is Alex Dalton’s School of Dance. I, with Molly on my lap, sat in on the saturday morning baby ballet class to get a sense of what it was like and if M was ready for it. It is a far more structured class than the creative dance class she currently goes to, so I’ll wait until January, at which point she will be four and a half, and ready for it. Really what I am looking for is an introductory course that focuses on having fun with a few ballet moves, rather than rigid instruction.

Ballet Classes: age 4+
Tap Dancing: age 8+

Classes: Monday to Saturday including Saturday morning classes for younger ages. Lessons are €100 per term with one class per week

Alice Marshall Ryan School of Classical Ballet
Ballet Classes: age 4+
Classes run every Monday to Saturday, starting at 3.30 for younger ages.
Saturday Tots age 4+ – from 9.30 to 10.15
Saturday Age 6-8 – at 11.30
Venue: O’Connell St

Starting Small Standing Tall
I have heard about ballet classes run in this creche numerous times in the past six months. The weekly classes are available to their own after-school pupils and non-pupils. The ballet and hip hop classes will start again in September and are held Tuesdays at 3.30pm. Cost is €110 per term which works out at about €8 per class
