Easter Egg Hunt Clue Cards & Game
Right that’s it then ‘we’ are all ready for Easter morning. Clues 1 to 6 will take M from closet to drawer to bathtub – and on to two not so choclaty eggs. Inside the eggs conceal jigsaw pieces, which when put together reveal the final all important clue ‘Where is THE egg’
TO MAKE: I used happyhomefairy card printables and modified the clues so they would suit where we were going to be on Easter morn. I painted a blank jigsaw I found in the craftshop and finished with some 3D markers. The plastic eggs were just some moshi monster things used as a last resort when I couldn’t find ‘eggs that opened’ in the afore mentioned craft shop :)
Roll on Sunday… tee hee

Easter Bonnet Parade
Easter arrived early at Molly’s montessori school today, with a burst of colour, as the kids held a little Easter Bonnet Parade (Molly kept pronouncing it ‘Easter Vomit’!!). Their chuffed little heads were adorned with a whole assortment of daffodils, ducks, chicks, eggs and ribbons. Thanks Teacher Ann – and well done mums! Molly’s one is top left :) [read on]

you’re eggstra special
Who wouldn’t love to get a surprise egg this weekend, what a lovely idea – a special little note from the Easter Fairies perhaps. I’ve put the egg and hidden note on my try list…I’m going to cheat a bit and just buy a little gift box to put it in!!

I think granny would like one too (calories not included)

Egg-cellent Fun
There’s quite a lot of searches on the site for Easter Crafts so here’s a few egg decorating ideas for you to play with. I LOVE these Dye-ving Dudes made with craft eggs, bottle tops, elastic bands, bendy straws and felt.
We’re definately going to make these – they would look funny bobbing in a glass of water (note to self…don’t use water soluble paint :)
How To:
just dip the craft eggs half way in paint. Pop them paint side up into a egg carton and leave to dry. Glue on elastic bands around the top half and glue bottle tops to the band. Place small circle stickers on the front of the bottle tops and draw the eyes. Cut flippers out of felt or foam and glue onto a piece of board. Then put a good dollop of glue on the flippers to keep the little dude standing.

Meet the Easter Egg-heads
Last year during the Easter holidays we had great fun making the egghead family and animals with some Styrofoam eggs. If you’re feeling inspired you could also make a baby egghead by drawing a bib on the body or sticking on a bit of a paper doily – and rosy cheeks on the face. Read on for how we made details

…and the Eggimals
we also made these adorable little egg-animals. I had only a restricted range of acrylic paint colours – if only I had some white paint I could have lightened them up. We made a dog, pig and cat but the herd could be expanded infinitely e.g owl, skunk, mouse. Click here for how to details
